Rehab Matters takes great pride in delivering high quality, professional Occupational Therapy treatment and consultation services.  This is achieved through extensive clinical experience, established professional relationships with relevant service providers and high-level communication and negotiation skills with all stakeholders involved in the rehabilitation process.

Rehab Matters offers a range of Occupational Therapy services which are tailored to the person and their unique rehabilitation goals.  Services can be provided on an assessment only basis or as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program.

Due to the nature of community based Occupational Therapy, services are usually delivered in the person’s home.  Telephone / telehealth services are also used to assist with delivery of occupational therapy services where indicated.

Services provided by Rehab Matters include the following:

•    Environmental modifications to a person’s home, school or workplace. This includes major and minor modifications.   
•    Assessment of new home design to accommodate a person’s injury related needs.
•    Equipment assessment and prescription including the following:
–      Power wheelchairs
–      Manual wheelchairs
–      Power assist devices for manual wheelchairs
–      Pressure care cushions and mattresses
–      Adjustable beds
–      Showering / bathing equipment
–      Mobile / ceiling hoists
–      Other activities of daily living equipment
•   Seating assessment and prescription
•   Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessment and retraining
•   Avocational rehabilitation
•   Manual handling training (specific to care activities)
•   Support worker training to enable a person with an injury to be cared for in their home
•   Comprehensive Care Needs Assessments
•   FIM Assesments
•   Rehabilitation Case Management (limited capacity)

Rehab Matters is based in Newcastle, NSW.  Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment services are provided to people living in the Newcastle and Hunter region, Central Coast, Mid North Coast and New England areas. 

Bronwyn regularly travels throughout NSW and interstate to provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and rehabilitation consultation services. 

Referrals are considered depending on availability.
